BackBridge™ · Multi-level back stretcher

Undo a day of sitting in a few minutes — and stand up without that stiff lower back.

An arched board you lie back on for a minute or two. Gravity gently opens up the back that's been folded over a desk, a steering wheel or a phone all day — at the height you're ready for.

  • Three heights: start gentle, go deeper over time
  • Massage points that press into tight spots
  • Soft foam strip along the center for your spine
  • Clips together in a minute, no tools

Yes — I want to stretch it out

Feel your back open up in the first minute

You lie back slowly, the arch settles under the tight part of your back, and you feel it: the long, slow stretch your back has been asking for since lunchtime.

The first time can feel intense — your back has been compressed for a long time. Thirty seconds is plenty to start. A few days later you'll be staying a minute or two, and standing up feeling longer than when you lay down.

No class to book, no routine to remember. Just a few minutes on the floor at the end of the day.

The opposite of sitting

Sitting keeps your back curved forward for hours. Lying back over the arch gently bends it the other way — no effort, no pose to hold. It's the stretch you'd do if you remembered, built into something you just lie on.

The three heights of the back stretcher: 2.8, 3.6 and 4.4 inchesLevel 1, 2 or 3

Start gentle, go deeper over time

One fixed arch is too much for some days and not enough for others. Clip the board on the lowest height to start, then move up to level 2 and 3 as your back gets used to the stretch.

Massage points where it's tight

Raised points along the board press into the tight muscles on either side of your spine while you stretch, and a soft foam strip runs down the middle so your spine rests on something gentle.

Out in seconds, away in seconds

It's light, clips together in a minute without tools, and slides under the bed or into a closet when you're done. Use it in the living room, the bedroom or the office.

Stand up like you used to

Remember getting up from a chair without that half-second pause, one hand on your lower back, waiting for it to catch up?

A few minutes a day on the board is how you start getting that back. Your back gets a daily counterweight to all the sitting — and the stiffness stops being the way every evening ends.

It's the easiest healthy habit you'll ever keep: you just lie down.

Four steps, a few minutes a day

Start slow — your back will tell you when it's ready for more.

  1. Set level 1Clip the board onto the lowest height.
  2. Lie back slowlyRest the arch under the part of your back that feels tight.
  3. Start with 30 secondsBreathe slowly, then add a little more each day.
  4. Roll off sidewaysTurn onto your side to get up — don't sit straight up.

Why lying on an arch works

Hours of sitting keep the muscles along your spine stuck in a forward curve. They don't release just because you stand up.

Lying back over a gentle arch lets gravity stretch them the other way, slowly and without effort. The massage points add pressure on the tight spots, and the adjustable height lets you increase the stretch as your back gets used to it.

What you've probably tried already

  • BackBridgeLess than $21 — about the price of a single yoga class. Then it's yours every day.
  • Classes and sessionsGreat when you go — but they cost every time and need a booking.
  • Twisting in your chairFree, and over in two seconds. The stiffness is back by lunch.

Who it's for

People who sit for long hours — at a desk, behind the wheel, on the couch — and feel it in their lower back by the end of the day. Also great after the gym or gardening.

If you have a spinal injury, osteoporosis, recent surgery or you're pregnant, ask your doctor first. Stop if you feel sharp pain, numbness or tingling.

Questions before you buy

It felt intense the first time. Is that normal?

Yes — especially if your back has been stiff for a long time. Stay on level 1, keep it to about 30 seconds at first, and add a little more each day.

The massage points feel too hard.

Put a thin towel or yoga mat over the board for the first week. Most people find they don't need it once they're used to the pressure.

How long and how often should I use it?

Start with 30 seconds and build up to a few minutes, once or twice a day. Short and regular works better than long and occasional.

Upper back or lower back?

Both. Move the board a little higher or lower until the arch sits under the part of your back that feels tightest.

Is it hard to assemble?

No. Put the foam pad on the board, clip the board onto the base at the height you want, and you're done — no tools.

Will it fix my posture?

It gives your back a daily stretch in the opposite direction to sitting, which helps you feel less hunched. It isn't a treatment for posture or spinal conditions.

Who shouldn't use it?

If you have a spinal injury, osteoporosis, recent surgery or you're pregnant, ask your doctor first. Stop if you feel sharp pain, numbness or tingling.

What if it's not for me?

You have 30 days from the day it arrives to return it, unused and in its original packaging. Contact us first and we will send you the instructions. Read the return policy.
